Meet the family behind your shade
Central Ohio roots. Family experience. Straight answers.
Buckeye State Awnings and Screens is a family-owned awning and screen company serving homeowners across Central Ohio. The Boval family combines decades of product and field experience with the kind of personal follow-through that is hard to get from a call center.
Our estimators and installers look at the actual jobsite, explain the practical choices, and recommend what fits your home. We stay available after installation because the relationship does not end when the crew leaves.
Our team
The people behind Buckeye State Awnings and Screens
Real people handle the estimating, coordination, installation, and follow-through on your project. We will add the remaining team photos as they become available.
Jamie Boval
Owner
Jamie Boval is a Columbus native, U.S. Army veteran, and owner of Buckeye State Awnings and Screens. After building the family awning and screen business in Central Florida, he brought that experience back to his hometown market. Jamie believes homeowners deserve honest recommendations, careful installation, and a company that stays available after the job is done.
Pam Boval
Estimating Coordinator
Pam Boval is Jamie’s mother and the estimating coordinator for both family businesses. She helps organize estimate scheduling and customer information for Buckeye State Awnings and Screens, giving the field team the details they need before arriving at a customer’s home.
Ken Boval
Lead Estimator
Ken Boval is Jamie’s father and Lead Estimator for Buckeye State Awnings and Screens. A lifelong Central Ohio resident and Kent State alumnus, Ken has 20 years of experience in the awning and screen industry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and is a local VFW member. Ken combines deep product knowledge with careful measurements and practical recommendations for each customer’s home.
Chad Boval
Estimator and Installer
Chad Boval is Jamie’s younger brother and has more than 20 years of experience in installation and estimating. Because he has spent years working on both sides of the job, Chad understands how measurements, mounting conditions, and product choices affect the finished installation. He gives homeowners practical recommendations based on the actual jobsite and helps carry the plan into the field.
Brad Boval
Installations and Estimating
Brad Boval, Jamie’s youngest brother, helps Buckeye State Awnings and Screens with installations and estimating. His jobsite experience gives him a practical understanding of how a project should be measured, planned, and installed. Away from work, Brad is a devoted Ohio State football fan and enjoys spending time with his daughter, Maggie.
Alanna O’Brien
Office Manager
Alanna O’Brien supports Buckeye State Awnings and Screens by managing orders, contracts, and office coordination. She helps keep customer information accurate and connects the office, estimating, and installation sides of the business so the team has the details needed to follow through.
